For the common wealth? Virginia proposes oversize permit hikes

Virginia officials have proposed increases for oversize, overweight permit fees, not long after the commonwealth’s General Assembly called for such fees to take road damage and maintenance into account.
The fees would increase single-trip fee permits from $12 to $20, and increase blanket one-year permits from $45 to $100, and two-year blanket permits from $85 to $200. Overweight trucks also pay an additional mileage fee.
