| Wood burning fireplaces are banned in most of the San Francisco Bay area. Charcoal grills must use the matchless briquettes since starting fluid was banned in South Coast Basin around 10-15 years ago.

| Nope...well, certain days you can, and certain days you can't...depends on the pollution level, etc, on each day. Where I live, up in the desert, you can use gas grills, but the charcoal grills are regulated.
