PALM BAY — For the second time in four months, police are investigating the theft of a tractor-trailer rig from the same storage facility.

The latest theft – involving a 53-foot long big rig loaded with dog food - took place over the weekend at Dolphin Self Storage at 6350 Babcock St., police report.

“The case has been assigned to a detective,” said Yvonne Martinez, spokeswoman for the Palm Bay Police Department.

“But this is the second time this has happened at this facility. The last big rig was stolen in October.”
