Man fatally shot breaking into truck sleeper cab in Knox County Man fatally shot breaking into truck sleeper cab in Knox County
3/11/09
KNOXVILLE — Knox County authorities say a trucker fatally shot a man who was breaking into a cab where the driver was sleeping.
The incident occurred about 2:30 a.m. today at a warehouse parking lot west of Knoxville.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Martha Dooley told The Knoxville News Sentinel an unidentified man knocked on the door of the tractor, then left but returned a few minutes later and used a rock to break a window, awakening the driver.
Dooley said the man again left, but returned and was trying to climb into the cab when the driver shot him. The intruder was dead at the scene.
The incident is under investigation.

The problem is and I don't agree with it
But you cant just shoot a person who breaks into your house
Unless they pose a clear and present danger
In fact they are even prosecuting a guy in Texas for shooting a unarmed guy who broke into his house

man i just havent figured out how to type in the sarcasm meant to go with the last post
they break into my truck they will be sore, my home they will be armed by the time the cops show up to scoop them into a bag
the former post was meant to be sarcastic, as in MT it is illeagel to bait anything you are hunting
if all the states would have to honor each others CCW permits i would be happy, seems how i can carry in my truck in only a few states, and in others i can go to jail for it,I dont carry in the truck
