Trucking firm buys West Nashville terminal

A Las Cruces, N.M.-based trucking company with a small Nashville operation has bought an empty trucking terminal in West Nashville to expand, despite business being down about 20 percent the past few months.
Mesilla Valley Transportation plans to move into the 18-acre terminal at 3750 Stewarts Lane in a few weeks. The larger terminal will serve as a relay station as loads crisscross the country, said Royal Jones, president and chief executive officer of MVT.
"We've been talking for three years about buying that terminal," said Jones, who finalized an agreement with Shippers Transport Co. a month ago and is expected to close on the $4 million deal next week.

Does anybody know the story of what happened to Shippers Transport? Former drivers/employees?
