I thought that Biden had a family member that was killed as well. I could be wrong though?

Yes, Gaff-again Biden had a family member killed by a truck driver.....his first wife, who ran a stop-sign.
Apparently, Biden keeps running long and loose with the facts.
Several times he has said the trucker had "drank his lunch".
There had NEVER been any proof the driver had been drinking. IN FACT: the driver was cleared of ANY responsibility.
It is sad to note that the driver lost his ability to work again after BIDEN's lies, which BIDEN has never corrected.

This will be a surprise if it passes.

The governor is no different than the last. Besides, the previous republican also was against it as well.

Scarecrow is right, the Chicago area is not for it.

It's so sad that Chicago has such a stronghold on how the rest of the state is governed. Once you're west of highway 47 and south of I-80, the state is pretty normal. Working class citizens with uncommon sense (common sense isn't so common anymore, so Agent86 and I are proposing a movement to call it uncommon sense) who just wanna be able to do their job and live their lives with as little government interference as possible.

Well I heard today that the new gov signed it but it won't take affect til January 1, 2010. Ohio signed it 2 months ago it becomes effective in Ohio on July 1. Ohio has already said that it will be zero tolerance, 66 mph will be written a ticket. I was told by an OH state trooper who is a family friend that the only reason it finally happened is the state did not want to lose out on the government funding money. The state troopers tried to fight it to no avail.

I checked the Springfield paper and there is no mention of it as of now.

It is the state journal register if you want to check later. Google it and it leads to them.

Not sure how reliable the source on the Illinois info is but as stated before the Ohio info came from an OH Trooper and was also on the news.
