    I knew of the seatbelt law, but didn't know of the passing law, thats actually a nice thing for once.

    the ? here is about this statement.
    'A new law in Minnesota allows drivers to travel 10 mph over the speed limit while passing on certain two-lane highways.'

    Are those certain roads going to be posted , to relefect the rule?
    Or does every one just have to hope n pray, that if they get pulled over, they are are one of those roads?

    Not knowing for sure, my guess is they won't allow for 10 over on the 60 mph 2 lanes, and possibly not on the county roads. If they make it too complicated to figure out, even the law enforcement officers might be confused. The other thing in MN is that county roads run into state roads without a direction change and vice versa. If you get pulled over for speeding you'd better pray for something other than the road being one that is allowed.

    Sorry to hear that modern police officers in Minnesota are stupider than the ones they had in the past.

    Not just Minnesota. I have friends who received tickets while passing on a two lane highway. They were told, the speed limit is the same.

    this law was the only one that made any sense that got passed during this sesion.
