New coalition reveals support for bill to increase truck weight limits New coalition reveals support for bill to increase truck weight limits Quote: WASHINGTON — More than 100 associations and companies — including Kraft Foods, MillerCoors and International Paper — today officially launched the Coalition for Transportation Productivity (CTP), urging Congress to responsibly raise the federal vehicle weight limit on U.S. interstates highways. . We pull a lot of International paper loads. I for one, don't like the thought of grossing over 80k on some back road without shoulders. The majority of the plants are on limited access roads, as is. Crossing sometimes questionable bridges is also a concern. But, if the driver pay is reflective of the payload. Maybe. IP is in this because they are about to loss one of their tax credits on alternative fuels. So they'll need to cover the loss somewhere else. __________________ He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance........ i hope that coalition-100 is lined up and run over by the first truck they load over 80000.....
