YRC reaches pension fund, credit agreements

Quote:
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — YRC Worldwide Inc. has finalized an agreement with Central States, Southeast and Southwest Areas Pension Fund in which the company will provide real estate as collateral in lieu of making pension contribution payments during the second quarter, the trucking company said Thursday.

The estimated combined contribution payment deferral to Central States is approximately $83 million. The agreement calls for the company to repay the deferred contributions over three years beginning in January 2010.

Looks like last gasps of equity being thrown out.

I doubt they will have anything left to fund September.

The Central States Pension Fund is a mess and has been an issue on many contracts . Both UPS and Waste Management got their employees out of it .
