| i live just off the turnpike in Quapaw, ok and i seen this wreck from the overpass at mile marker 322 this had to be the most horrific accident i have ever seen in 20 years of driving a truck. I know one of the local dot officer's that works the wreck(we attend the same church) according to him the drivers log book, medical card, was up to date-he even came back clean on the accident drug test and all equipment was good and his cell phone records were clear which means he was not using it or texting at the time of the accident. The officers opinion was of the fact maybe the driver's age came into play you know reaction time not being what it used to be |

| sounds 2 me like "let's cruicfy the trucker!" this has to be someone's fault. "let's get that evil truckdriver!" Does anyone know is there an election coming up real soon or is tthere some sort of anti-trucker legislation coming up that they are trying to use this tradegy to push thru?

| This is a terrible tragedy from every angle. The poor families that lost their loved ones our hearts go out to you. The truck driver who it seems did nothing illegal or wrong except not get stopped will no doubt suffer the rest of his life and likely have nightmares and worse from this horrific accident. Undoubtedly the driver will be the blame and receive the punishment for this. This is a lose lose for everybody involved. Very sad. |

| A friend of mine died at 36. I guess truck drivers should not be driving over that age either. He died of a heart related issue. |

| In my opinion I believe trucking should be light the airlines. You reach a certain age your done. I know there are many "older" drivers out there. I am speaking of the 70+ ones. But studies have proven your more of an accident risk as you graduate in years. Just like teenagers are higher risk. We don't allow anyone under 21 OTR because of this fact. Maybe it's time to use the same thinking on the other end of the spectrum? Now please don't take this as an attack on older people. As I write this I think about how I will still need to be earning money when I reach that age. So maybe in hindsight as you get into a graduated age group you should be required to be tested every year or 6 months to keep your CDL.
