Lowering Arizona: absence of budget shutters IFTA, IRP

The state of Arizona was shutting down several services Tuesday, June 30, in preparation for the absence of a state budget by midnight.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Arizona’s legislature had not sent a budget to Gov. Jan Brewer.

Last week, Brewer restated her case for filing a lawsuit against the Arizona House Speaker and Senate President to force the legislature to send her a state budget bill.

Truckers needing services through the International Fuel Tax Association or International Registration Plan services couldn’t get help from Arizona on Monday or Tuesday.
