It has been that way for a couple of years now. It is well posted and detours for truckers just passing through are not difficult. Just take the I-295 loop around. If making a local delivery, well I can understand that one. See if your shipper/receiver can help you. I have also heard many a driver on the cb say the heck with it. It's not like there are going to be cops there 24/7. At $3000.00 a pop they will pay cops to be there.

Call me crazy, but I think it's completely ridiculous to have a weight-limited bridge on an interstate. Heck, the whole original premise of the interstate system was for the military and civil defense to have an efficient means of moving military equipment and personnel around the US. I'd like to see the RI police give the US Army overweight tickets for driving a column of Abrams tanks over that bridge.

There are weight restricted bridges elsewhere on the interstates as well. Kansas City has a couple. They've just been neglected to the point that they are unsafe. Now the idiots are scrambling to fix them or build new bridges and there's no money. Gee, wonder why.

not at all signs are clearly posted miles away and they are cery plentiful. This has nothing to do w/ screwing the truck drivers not everything is about us so calm down. If you can't see or read the big signs they have you do not need to be driving a truck anyway.

From what I understand having a friend who got burnt here the 1st time is a warning and they stick your name into the system anytime after that its the fine
