Exactly why you need your phone in someone else's name. None of peoples business(lawyers) when or who I talk to.

The problem was that it is a phone that the company called him on.

As long as you never ever use the phone for business, you might just get by with your plan.

Sure, but what about the driver forced to run illegal or lose his job (tell me this isn't happening in THIS economy), and the company hangs him out to dry afterwards? Where's OUR protection? I know drivers don't want to run out of hours, or drive tired. I also know drivers got bills to pay, and kids to feed. I'm willing to bet alot of drivers have bent to company pressure just to keep their jobs. I know I have in the past. Getting fired is one of the worst things you can have on your DAC, right up there with equipment abandonment, and quitting under a load. And in the current economy, who can afford losing even a crappy job without something better already lined up?

Just make sure you don't get a Palm Pre

Palm secretly tracking Pre users’ locations, which apps they’re using
Quote:
"The Los Angeles Times yesterday reported that Palm can, and is, tracking the locations of Palm Pre's. Yes, you read that right: the GPS technology in the Pre actually sends a signal back to Palm telling the company where the phone is physically located," Jim Goldman writes for CNBC. "Wait, there's more. Palm apparently also can remotely track the use of certain applications on the Pre. Talk about an OMG moment!"

"It's one thing if during the development process of this device that someone on the inside thought for some reason that this was a good idea. It's quite another to stand by the stupidity when those on the outside are made aware of it, ask the company about it, and the company still stands by it," Goldman writes. "Which is apparently exactly what happened yesterday. When the Times called Palm for comment, not only did the company not deny it, but proceeded to explain why this was all OK."
