State trooper allegedly stole GPS, tools from trucker State trooper allegedly stole GPS, tools from trucker Quote: A state trooper in Kansas will face trial in December for allegedly stealing a global positioning system and other items from a truck driver after the trooper discovered hundreds of pounds of marijuana in the truck. Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Clint Dwayne Epperly is scheduled to go to trial on Dec. 7 for one felony charge of official misconduct and two counts of misdemeanor theft. According to charges filed by the Kansas Attorney General’s Office, Epperly took a GPS unit from a truck’s cab that he had pulled over in December 2008.
