Trucker feared dead; body pulled from water

WENATCHEE, Wash. — The Washington State Patrol says one body has been recovered after a tractor-trailer rig loaded with apples rammed a support beam of a U.S. 97 bridge north of Wenatchee. The tractor cab broke free and plunged into the Columbia River while the trailer and scattered apple boxes remained on the Beebe Bridge.

KOMO-TV reports dive teams found a woman's body several hours after the accident. Troopers say the woman has not been identified and the search continues for an additional possible victim. Investigators say another vehicle may have been involved. It was not known late Monday whether the woman was believed to be the driver of the truck.
