Simple math.... It's easier to pay you .43 a mile, in about 8 years.

Than it is to convince an 8 year vet, to take .29 a mile tomorrow.

Aside from that we have people quiting every day, seasoned vets. When you base your lifestyle on a solid economy, and it tanks...well everything tanks and you have to seek greener pastures.

I'm seeing drivers quit every week. They're not making any more or less than I am, yet they say they can't make it.

Overall miles have been cut for most drivers. Payroll has been reduced by as much as 25% for some.

You financial needs and expectations will be the driving force behind all future desicions in this industry. If you're on rocky ground, it will remain rocky for some time. If you're on solid footing, you'll fair better than 50% of the drivers out here without the extra effort.
