Why do you think that DOT says that a 100+K drivers will be put out? Did they (DOT) give a reason behind this?

Whats your gut feeling about this?

That was my first reaction too. It also looks like DOT will do what they can to put those guys running #### rigs and altered logs out.

Just like the EOBR's....not that I want them...but now shippers and receivers will have to get the lead out of their a z z es....Once the clock strikes 14.....there's gonna be a lot of drivers parked in front of the docks who won't move.......
And those Mexican trucks better have them or I see blockades on the borders in the future.......

The way it was explained to me by our company safety officer, is that DOT is compiling the records of drivers DOT and traffic violations from mid 2005 until mid 2010, when this is supposed to take effect.

These viloations will be ratred on a scale, and if your number is too high, you can not drive. I hope Mike MD, or some other DOT officer will come here and verify if I have the true facts, as this was told to us by our company safety officer. We did just have an audit, which is where the information came from.

I got sent to moderation again, and I needed to edit my post, and can't. I wrote the wrong used name for the DOT officer.

I sure have been getting sent to the mods a lot lately, and I post very bland replys. I need to figure out what words I am using that is triggering this.

Maybe it's the menancing looking 1966 White in my avitar.

Update:
Got my edit in before I looked too stupid by giving out the wrong name.

And THANKS to the moderators who look out for these forums. Without their hard work this place would be a mess.

Nothing will change. The shippers will still drag their feet and then threaten to call the cops if you don't move. The cops will run you off the property, the EOBR will log the violation, and you'll end up one of the 150k out of work. They don't want safety, they want money. There's and endless line of noobs waiting to take all our places and they will.
