Ex-trucking exec fined $1 million, sentenced to prison

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A former trucking company executive has been fined $1 million and sentenced to 22 months in federal prison for a mail-fraud conspiracy conviction.

Kelly Wooldridge was president of Continental Express Inc., and was accused with former chief financial officer Todd Tiefel, who testified at Wooldridge’s January trial. U.S. District Judge Susan Webber Wright departed from sentencing guidelines Thursday and gave Wooldridge far less than the minimum recommended sentence of 5 years, 10 months.
