The DOT said over 80 carriers face enforcement action as result of the FMCSA's effort.

WASHINGTON – The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration today announced 77 commercial bus and truck drivers are off the road and over 80 carriers face enforcement action as a result of FMCSA’s first national drug and alcohol strike force.

From Sept. 8 to Sept. 18, 2009 FMCSA safety investigators examined the drug and alcohol safety records of commercial drivers employed by bus companies, including school bus drivers, interstate passenger carriers, hazardous material transporters and general freight long-haul trucking companies.

There have been a bunch of people on this forum looking for companies who don't test for drugs. I guess they do exist.

Will these drivers and carriers explain their illegal actions? Doubt it!

Either way very costly to fight the man especially if you are guilty.

You have no business putting the public in harm's way! You know the rules! Stop thinking only about yourself!

Actually; 77 drivers doesn't seem all that many, compared to how many records they may have examined.
