Now that statement leads me to believe the issuing officer/hostage.... needs some serious help also.

Just like the nutty behavior exhibited by the driver. The officers are equally delusional.

Who the hell writes a citation, then forgets WHY it was written ??? What's going to happen when one of these officers "think" a driver is an escape felon?

So what we have here, are 3 people who need to be removed from their jobs. Not just one.

According to the FMCSA Web site, Colonial has 340 drivers and 328 power units. Data from the FMCSA SafeStat module shows Colonial has a Driver Safety Evaluation Areas (DRSEA) score of 89.02. FMCSA considers any DRSEA scores above 75 as deficient. An 89.02 DRSEA score would mean that only 10.8 percent of motor carrier fleets in the U.S. had a higher DRSEA, the FMCSA said.
The FMCSA Web site shows that in the past 30 months, Colonial has had 36 out-of-service violations for exceeding the 11-hour driving limit and 40 out-of-service violations for exceeding the 14-hour on duty limit.
Seems Ft Collins was enforcing the REGs as they are written.

According to Mark Couch, a spokesman for the Colorado Department of Revenue
It is obvious that the "SPOKESMAN" didn't write the citation.

Okay..I was wrong.

There are FOUR people who need to be out of a job.

Anybody who opens their mouth in front of a camera or a reporter, deserves what follows. Especially if that person is a "spokesman" who didn't, couldn't, wouldn't do their homework.

His ACTUAL commit should have been, "I don't know what the citation was issued for, or if it even led to this event. I'm unclear about the facts."

But that would have shown him to be a talking head...not an "Official" spokesman.

But then again...he was most likely college educated, with ZERO military background.

College -- Open mouth insert foot.

Military -- Speak clearly and truthfully, so there is ZERO misunderstanding of your communication. Peoples lives may depend on it.
