If I were to ever go drving an 18 wheeler solo.... you can bet your butt that one of Henry's dogs would be in the passenger seat.... I would not bet on someone intent on doing harm escaping alive.

I subscribe to the "little dog/big gun" plan.
The little dog is easier to care for and manage in the truck than a larger dog, but obviously doesn't offer the protection of the larger dog.
The firearm offers maximum protection, but is of no use if I am not awake to utilize it.
This is where the two come together. The dog alerts me to the potential intruder, giving me ample time to secure my weapon and prepare for action.
Also a dog of any size will often deter a potential intruder, who not only is unaware of the dog's size as some smaller dogs have a deep bark, but assumes the truck's occupant is now awake and is no longer an easy target.GuysLady Thanks this. -

I agree completely Mustang. The only reason I would end up with one of Henry's is that my own little buddy had to be put to sleep back in August.

I love Beagles. What'd you name him/her?

He came with the name Hunter. Not crazy about it, but he answers to it.
This was today playing with my daughters Husky "pup". They were the same size about a month ago.

The only thing they will do is block the lot off so you can't park there either.
