CBP will not accept old FAST cards in New Year
WASHINGTON – U.S. Customs and Border Protection says that drivers will no longer be able to use their old Free and Secure Trade (FAST) cards in passenger lanes effective January 5, 2010.

CBP has been issuing new cards for FAST members since last spring. The new, next-generation cards have enhanced security features that allow cardholders to comply with the documentary requirements under the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI).

All drivers are urged to activate their new cards within 30 days by clicking here and destroy their old ones.
