How about the old T/A's in Rochester, NY {went to the Wooden Nickel topless bar next door}, the Garysburg, NC stop now long gone and torn down, Rhodes Truckstop in Summerton {Santee}, SC and Brunswick, Ga T/A once a full service truckstop { remember the smell of the water}. Those were the days never to return and almost forgotten.

I used to love stopping at the Pinon truck stop north of Peblo, CO. on I25. I spent my first blizzard there in 1997. I drove by it last month for the first time in 10 years. It was closed. I don't know how long it had been closed.
The Triple "T" truck stop has been around for a long time. A lot of people don't know that it wasn't always were it is now. It was moved to be next to I10.JolliRoger and Big Don Thank this. -

Also Frederick MD ( I-70 West ) , had a true 76 Truckstop, with a hotel at the back of the lot, and a nice lounge, full bar , dance floor, everything. That is about as close as I have ever seen to an actual 76 truckstop with a dance hall inside., but most 76s' some T/As and others did have motel sleeping rooms upstairs, usually Truckers only rooms. i remember renting them for about $7 to $14 back in '79.navypoppop Thanks this.
