It's a twister! It's a twister!

This pic was take this afternoon at White Sands Missle Range (WSMR), NM which is located about 25 miles North of El Paso, TX. This pic was taken by a family friend who is employed at WSMR.

AFAIK, it stayed away from population, caused no damage aside from maybe a few torn up cactuses and aside from scaring physics nerds like my brother (who works as a civillian contract employee at WSMR), it was pretty harmless.

Tornadoes are a rare sight here so when one pops up, people take notice. We're still recovering in many ways from the floods of Summer 2006 so crazy weather kind of makes us nervous, lol.

that is a great picture and I am glad this one behaved itself...Twisters are one of the things I am most nervous about...Other then the drunks,dopers and cell phone users in 4 wheelers...LOL...
