Well those 6 drivers contribute to the Carrier's score... If Carrier gets shutdown... those 94 are out of a job

So as drivers, you must understand that if you do your pre-trip inspection and everything is fine and good to go, and you drive 50 miles and catch a nail in the tire and DOT pulls you over and discovers the leaky tire . . . you will be hit with a Level 8 severity rating. Still, the total number of points allowed before being punished by CSA2010, has not yet been determined by myself . . . I have not been given the answer to this question by anyone else either.

You need to read the article, this affects all drivers, new and old.

Swift and Covenant both have ISS-D Recommendation = PASS
    Werner's a different story.
I didn't know Werner and Covenant had CDL schools. Learn something new every day! Thanks

I don't think Werner has the school anymore, but they are a training company. And the drivers do go over hours so as not to get stuck somewhere that they can't park overnight.I wonder how the CSA2010 will affect them?

The same way, you only get points from an inspection report or an accident report under CSA2010. I dont know how Werner does the over hours with electronic logging. I'm expecting the onboard recorders to be mandated for us all fairly soon

Well, since I was told it was govt intervention that got Werner on the paperless logs in the first place, undoubtably the govt will step in and run Werner (like they did with GM) to prevent prices from going up. Same with Swift, J.B. Hunt, Schneider, FFE, Stevens, TMC, and all the other major outfits. The smaller outfits will, of course, be allowed to wither and die to prevent further competition.

That sounds about like a newbie . Rather than stop a half hour early drive an hour longer when parking spaces are filling every minute . The later you drive the less the odds of finding a parking spot . :biggrin_25513:
