Talks are proceeding for a 1 day wildcat strike on December 15th, 2010. We're talking about shutting down for 24 hours. Will the unionized decking shops (also IAM) and office employees go along with us? Labor stoppages were banned in our 2007 contract, the one no one voted for. Also the same year the unreasonable 'givebacks' were started.

Everything has been going backwards for years with only the national union rep and company president voting on our contracts. It's past time to get their attention. It's also time to separate the 'players' from the 'pretenders'. Pass the word.:biggrin_2554:

Just curious...are you organizing this wildcat strike?
Seems like a good way to guarantee Unimark gets everything. I don't work for ATT anymore, but I remember when it was a pretty good job. Guess it's gone to hell. Good luck.

No, it appears to be spontaneous - everything is reaching the breaking point. What's funny is the company 'shills' recommended that we start by voting out union representation...these people have always been too obvious.

Thinking you're right as there is a big meeting going on at the moment in Wisconsin. Let the company shills have it as many, if not most of us will find something else to do. Plenty of driving jobs in Western NC and be home everyday.

For those that don't know, Unimark is another low cost division of our parent company, JHT Holdings. Unimark has always had a terrible record and astronomical turnover. Perhaps the manufacturers will just take decking and delivery back 'in house'.

I remember all of the talk about the 'one day shutdown' - it wasn't the first time and won't be the last. Unfortunately, ATT USA is staffed with many shills and non union drivers. Bennett, Quaility, Unimark, Truck Movers, Labor Ready, Man Power, homeless living at the rescue missions, etc. would be brought in should JHT choose to fire the IAM represented workers.

We have to think alittle more creatively....

Work there in 2010 quit on 2011. Its a joke the entire system. From the incompetent management to the corrupt union its all against the drivers. Very low ball income for all the long hours and danger hard work. This company has the highest turn over of drivers I have seen. They have been fired by volvo, international and hope near future from freightliner.

Just talked with a ex-co worker and he is making good wages, 1k per week. Which is more then what I am making.. They pay for everything, flights, rentals and hotels, except the food.

Just wonder if any trucking jobs are a worth of crap!
