Just read online and saw it on cnn,, Walmart, the biggest union haters in the world will negotiate with the union that will represent their new store in nyc,

They said it could never happen but looks like Walmart will have their first ever totally union store.

Looks like the only union that walmart is trying to woo over is the heavy construction unions in nyc, that will build the new store.

Still kind of interesting, since walmart has said for years it will never deal with unions.,, Guess in hard times, you have to bend a little, on both sides of the isle.

All the union haters will be here shortly claiming the end of the world.

    Prices will sky rocket.

God forbid the unions will cause Walmart to cease business.

Did I leave any of their thoughts out?

Here's one that I found. They are using Union construction, but the staff will not be union.

I think it's BS that any union try to dictate to a company or corporation who they have working in their stores. This is the kind of crap that turns a lot of people off to unions.

There goes the neighborhood. Most construction in New York is unionized though. I would imagine that prices will not be super low there anyway because of location.

No kidding! That is one reason I would never live in that or any other major city.

it is just the construction team, they do not even work for walmart, they are contractors.

Now if Walmart had store employees that were unionized, THAT would be something.

If a walmart unionized, they would just close down that store to prove a point.

I believe there was a wal-mart in Quebec that was pushing for, or got union , and Wal-Mart closed the store.

That was a few years ago.

I will see if I can dig up some info .
