    DRIVERS UNITE!

We Demand a fair days wage for a fair days work!

    No more cheap freight!

    Lower fuel taxes!

    Force shippers/recievers to pay dentention!

    Insert your demands here!

Join me, fellow drivers, on whatever date you want to do it on and lets go on STRIKE! We will bring this country to it's knees!

Because you know what will happen the next day?

Every truck driving school in the country will graduate it's current class of students you will be standing at the bottom of the exit ramp asking for handouts.

    Give me a break.

    ROFL !
The day every truck shuts down, the world will stop spinning. You know that you can't get two truckers to agree on anything.
And what makes you think they will shut down, hell you can't get any one to send in thier comments into the fmcsa on the propsed new hos rules. And you think they are all goanna shut down. ROFL!

Yep, that's kinda my point. You will never get truckers to agree. It would most likely have to start with the companies and I really don't see that happening.

I don't see it so much as agreeing. Many do agree that something has to be done about HOS and wages, etc.

Biggest problem is that TOO many truckers are lazy and don't want to be bothered to actually stand up for something. They'd rather waste their time complaining about all that is wrong and how "they" would fix it if they could. How many of them actually send in comments or write their congress or senators? That percentage is probably in the single digit percentages. Nothing will get done or change unless folks voice their concerns to the proper powers that be.

What you need to do is strike the company you work for, or go find another job. if your an O/O then your screwed cuz you can't strke against your self.

Drivers don't really need to "strike" per say.

They could simply all make sure that their HOS reset ALL HAPPENS ON THE SAME COUPLE OF DAYS. If hundreds of thousands of drivers resets overlap over a two or three day period, what happens?

Collusion and racketeering become impossible to prove on an individual basis........remember.......you were simply obeying the HOS laws to begin with.

Use the tools they give you to show them how broken the system really is.

It will never happen because too many drivers are willing to work for whatever to either put food on the table or pay bills. That's why the rates are still in the tank. You will always have someone who will haul something for nothing, especially when all the Mexican trucks are unleashed.:biggrin_25510:
