Truckers Have you had enough!!! STRIKE 2013

I propose this idea for new truck drivers, experienced truck drivers and any driver just wanting better pay, working conditions, etc....This is not a new idea, it's been done all over the world and it works. Next year for Truck Driver Appreciation Week 2013 we go on STRIKE to send our message. If we don't band together then you guys and gals are going to keep being treated like dirt. This STRIKE can encompass all types of topics, low wages, DOT rules & regulations, EOBR's rules, Hours of Services and any other topic that has turned this industry into a nightmare.

Don't be afraid, spread the word and only positive can come from it.

Yeah, let me know how that works out for ya..

I also believe there is a law that prohibits us from shutting down the country. May not be a law, but there is something that prohibits it.. I'm sure someone will chime in as to what it is..

I think that last beer killed that brain cell..(yes, I'm on home time so don't give the beer drinking on the road speech)

The original poster is right we should strike.. but we can't get 2 drivers to agree the sky is blue. How would we ever get them to all shut down.. The answer is we won't people are to short sided and would see the extra work that week and try to take advantage of the situation.. We won't ever get control back.. it is gone.

We have a year to do this, I don't expect every drive to agree or have the energy, time or income loss to do this. But if we don't try then NOTHING gets done. Those of you that do believe YOU can make a change then start today. Use your social media to spread the word, next year for Driver Appreciation Week we go on strike for a week. Call in to Satellite Radio Road Dog Radio Program and spread the word, Plan your vacation, home time and take off that week. For those that don't want to participate or get involved I only hope they get involved if this movement grows over the next year. But it really amazing what a group of people can do once it gets rolling. This is a message that we just want to send to the Industry and Government that we as Drivers are TIRED of the Games.

I've started and have had these few responses in just a half hour, can you imagine what it will be like after a year. For those of you who are rebels and want to make a change, lets do it.

If you are not satisified with your job then it's time to change. We are ALL responsible for our, futures. If you are in a situation,,,,,,,,,, or career that you don't like, well it might be time for a change. I personally do not need to ask" ANYONE OR ANY GROUP OF PEOPLE " to stand up for me. If i do not like the job situation that i am in. I will make the decision weather to persue a better course or change all together.
