So how much longer do we as drivers need to get chrewed? Lets band together and set our industry right. Lets get our fuel prices lowered and our goverenment off our backs. How does anyone have a right to yel us that we neeed to take a break? That we are tired? Thats bs. If we need to shut down then so be it. The people who are supposed to be helping us cant seem to get it done. Just sayin.

This scenario has been going around for years. And just like all the others it will not work. It's something that effect drivers in different ways. What if you're a company driver and making great money and wouldn't think of changing your job for anything? The laws are made from real world problems and there's always someone that going to through the rules away. I'm not saying you but there's plenty of drivers that need to be told when to stop. Or how much to load etc, etc. I agree that the industry is full of double standards and laws that seem to be ridiculous but a strike is no answer.

You just need to get all the fuel haulers to sign on. Without them the rest of us won't be going anywhere. That shouldn't be so hard.

I agree with the no balls and scared. Now that we no this will never happen,so now what.?

You have to find your ''niche''.Forget about this fantasy of ''strike'' and ''unity'' that will NEVER HAPPEN..Put your hand in your back pocket and grab your ### because that is the only ### your going to save. You have to be selfish and say the hell with everyone else and go get a good job..They are out there.

I would be a fool to shut down and destroy my own life. This week after fuel and Landstar cut i will bring home to the table 3,200 for 4.5 days of work. You see what i mean.?..Take your ''energy'' and find a good gig and stick with the winners in trucking...

If you need some direction in finding a good gig in NY i can try to help you.But forget this whole ''shut down'' thing and put your energy towards finding your ''niche'' in trucking, like many have..

Exactly. But, problem is, too many dont want to take the time to think about it or let alone, pay attention and listen and learn. Not being grumpy...Just telling the truth. But you definatly nailed it there ls8891. Be safe out there.

Better idea is to elect people to office who understand trucking & small business. I agree that a strike idea is not the answer at this time.
