Right. Then they'd just be hired by another company looking to replace them because they just fired all of their drivers!

I've heard of this. I may shut it down if everyone else does. Truck on.

Not a bad idea to strike. If drivers would even shut down for three days it would create a pretty good dent in the economy. The public outrage due to the lack of goods/fuel/whatever commodities would be enough to generate a deeper look into the burdens/regulations drivers are dealing with.

Only downside is that a strike of this scale would never happen. Way too many accounts that fall under mega carriers who would never give their entire driver fleet a paid three-day vacation just to tag along with a strike.

Realistically, if a considerable amount of drivers (including company drivers) would strike, some other carriers would pick up the excess freight and enjoy the profits due to increased shipping costs.

Not with liars and frauds. And that's what the organizers of this are. Zeeda Andrews and Pete Santilli are using truckers and the trucking industry to further their politics agenda. Do not fall for this.

5 REASONS WHY A STRIKE WILL WORK

    1. Drivers are underpaid for the job they are required to do.
    2. Brokers are rich and are home every night, but the drivers or owner/operators are not, even when they take all the responsibility, why?
    3. We can organize on Facebook that way we have a way to communicate.
    4. The strike can be repeated 2nd and 3rd time if needed, you will have time to save some money for the time you will not be driving during the strike.
    5. IF WE STAND TOGETHER, even 30% of us, we will make difference.

And one more, GOVERNMENT has nothing to do with the pay base in the trucking business. It is all about the shippers and freight brokers.

ADD " Trucks Drivers " as a friend on Facebook!
