It didn't work...not very well at least. There's a 30+ page thread going on about it over in the politics forum.

 

It won't work. It didn't work, politicians don't care anything but votes. Its not going to change. Least not anytime soon. YYou'd need 1000 screaming trucks and 11 long haired friends of Jesus to get something done in Washington...I think we were a little short.

 

Also don't forget a microbus!

 

Yep alright we were about 990 trucks short, 11 long haired friends of Jesus short, 1 chartruce microbus short, and also we should note that we were short kris Kristofferson, we were also shot a black trans am, and an old w9 with a 45ft reefer and 400 cases of Coors. If were gonna do it better get it done right. Need the duck, bandit and snowman. Then wed get something accomplished.

 

On facebook pages for the even, there were about 30 trucks on Friday, it was rainy and I guess there were some that had not gotten to the area yet. Mixed reports on Saturday, but there were more circling, including cars and pickups.

Maybe Washington didn't give a hoot, but I think the citizens and those using the road did appreciate what the truckers were doing.

I think the worse thing that happened out of this was when someone was using the protest in trying to get truckers to block traffic and go real slow on the road. I believe the organizers were not happy about this and wanted truckers to drive legally and not impede traffic.

They did have some traffic jams though, one was around the American Legion area and truckers love to use the air horns I heard.

It has also shown that television media is biased, there were very few stations that even showed anything about the protest.

Perhaps the next protest will garner more participation.
