Strike Organizations!

I am new in this forum, but have been in the trucking industry for about 3 years now. For the past a couple months I have been dealing with brokers and finding loads for my truck since I just got my own authority, but I have to say that some of these brokers are so greedy that I know for a fact they take from 20 to 40% of your load. Anyway I don't want to concentrate about only O/O, because drivers can and will benefit from a strike too, if we can get one organized. I read some posts about strikes failing and not going to work, but I disagree, because if we can organize a strike like it is suppose to be, there is no way it can not work.

5 REASONS WHY A STRIKE WILL WORK

1. Drivers are underpaid for the job they are required to do.
2. Brokers are rich and are home every night, but the drivers or owner/operators are not, even when they take all the responsibility, why?
3. We can organize on Facebook that way we have a way to communicate.
4. The strike can be repeated 2nd and 3rd time if needed, you will have time to save some money for the time you will not be driving during the strike.
5. IF WE STAND TOGETHER, even 30% of us, we will make difference.

And one more, GOVERNMENT has nothing to do with the pay base in the trucking business. It is all about the shippers and freight brokers.

If you read the forecasts for the next upcoming 2014 year for truck freights, most of them say the need for drivers, trucks and rates will jump. Well, if we keep hauling the freight for cheap, why would they raise, the only people who will be in favor of that will be the brokers.
SAME for drivers, DO NOT GO on the road for 32-34 cents a mile, what is this McDonald's? ( I pay my driver 42cents )

Anyway, I wanted to write down what I think will be a good idea to start a strike from bottom to top..

First, ALL Owner Operators - DO NOT haul cheap freight. ( My minimum is 1.90 in the Midwest depends on where I am going ) If I am going from Chicago to Texas minimum is 2.20, to Florida would be 2.70, but not going to explain as I am sure most of you know where and what rate you should be getting.
Now - if you are coming out of Florida, well DO NOT take loads for 1$ ..!!! ask for 1.30!

I was in Florida maybe 2-3 weeks ago, from Arizona and they paid me 1.89 on 2150 miles, 35,000 which is good. I went there and started calling for loads, one broker told me about some load from JACKSONVILLE FL to LAS VEGAS NV for 2500$ which is 2400 miles. It was either a very stupid broker, or he was confused with the price, I don't know what was the deal with him.

If you run a truck and if your average pay on the miles do not go around 1.70 ! YOU WILL PROBABLY BANKRUPT sometime in the future. Only think if your truck goes in the shop and they tell you 8000 9000$ for repair. NOT GOOD!

Second, we create a Facebook for all O/O's, drivers that want to participate in this.
The strike should be around next year sometime, as this year there is no point as of right now, because we wont get organized.
We will need maybe 5-6 months to organize the way I see it.

We will need at least 200,000 to 500,000 participants to make this work, and the only thing we have to do is go on a vacation for 5-6 days or stay with your family lets say. You don't have to go to any DC or even go out your house, just DO NOT OPERATE, STRIKE IS NOT DRIVING FREIGHT !!

By the way, all OWNER OPERATORS you can start the strike with your next load, DO NOT TAKE CHEAP LOADS! 1, 1.20 1.30.. -- let the brokers drive them !!
