We could push for that...but I doubt if we get 100 truckers to do that

The sad thing is that trucking companies (competitors) came together before drivers did

I almost had to go get my decoder ring to translate this so I could understand it.

If you want a strike, come up with some well reasoned arguments for it, instead of the typical garbage used for justification. Every time the scuttlebutt starts about a strike, it's always some idiotic idea that just makes us look like a bunch of yahoos. So instead of railing about how unfair split speed limits are, or high fuel prices, or excess regulation (not that these aren't important issues); how about coming up with a thoughtful solution to an well-documented problem to rally behind. The rhetoric needs to resonate with the public if a strike will ever be successful. But most likely every attempted strike will continue to demonstrate a depth of thought about as deep as spilled fuel.

When the talk was striking because of split speeds, I tried every time I heard a conversation about to redirect the energy to something more productive, like drivers being responsible for unloading. That's a far bigger and more important issue. But since the vast majority of strike talkers are US Marshal-calling lunch counter denizens, it was a fruitless endeavor. I'll support a well reasoned plan, but the back row BS that drives most of this talk? Go ahead a look the fool, but I'm not getting on board with a bunch of idiots.
