Truckers' Trucking Forum/Message Board - The Premiere Truck Driver Forum

Truckers Strike Forum We all hear of a trucker strike. Let's put all the trucker strike threads in here, please so they will more organized. What do YOU think of a trucker strike due to outrageous fuel prices? The April 1st strike fizzled as expected. $5/gal. or more MAY make truckers stand together...if even then.

But if we drive only 55 that's 500 miles a day. Like you're running in CA. I purposely wanted to run out of CA so I could get more miles and more money

Good Idea

There may be something to that. But then again we could all be the laughing stock of the nation. Don't know. Not sure.

My question about a strike, slowdown, whatever you want to call it, is this,
What do you hope to achieve?
Lower fuel prices? Better rates? Looser restrictions?
How does a work slowdown make that happen?
How does a truck only going 55 mph make that happen?

Y'all would be better off fighting this battle if you chose one thing instead of a laundry list that has no hope of getting done.

I want congress to pull their heads out of the Birkenstock wearing-maggot infested-envior-whackos rear ends and so we can start drilling for domestic oil and build about 20-50 new refineries, and 20-50 nuke plants too.

This makes me sick just thinking about it. 15 years ago I remember helping to disassemble the Powerine refinery in Wilmington, Ca. The Chinese bought it and everyone thought it was funny. Who the Hell would want an old refinery? The Chinese did and now their cracking crude with it.

That why we need to either get the rates up , Which the buyers have said they ARE NOT paying the high freight , Or get the fuel price down . I promise you , Stop every truck in the US and Canada for 72 hours and the country will come to a stop

Bush doesn't have the Balls to declare Marshall law. And with all of the Trucker support the troops receive, the troops wouldn't follow that order and consider it to be UNLAWFUL!!!
