Truckers' Trucking Forum/Message Board - The Premiere Truck Driver Forum

Truckers Strike Forum We all hear of a trucker strike. Let's put all the trucker strike threads in here, please so they will more organized. What do YOU think of a trucker strike due to outrageous fuel prices? The April 1st strike fizzled as expected. $5/gal. or more MAY make truckers stand together...if even then.

Old thread. But i'll comment anyway.

I dunno about your image. But mine is doing real good.

I still have an honest job. And I have money to spend, that I earned.

The only way to truly effect the situation is to control the supply. But, this would take a massive organizational effort and tremendous leadership and solidarity on behalf of the truckers in this country. So, unless we are willing to begin the task of forming a single, indivisible unit behind a united voice, our concerns mean nothing. In harsh honesty, my only advice would be to leave trucking and strike in the true tradition of today's independent trucker, alone...
Yo, right on.
Also, the trucking schools would have to stop pumping out students as fast as they can and creating a surplus of drivers with CDls I Colorado alonge there over 40k drives who are not working,
Of course the independent O/O would have to join the strike, Right! and go broke: sure

Lessee now..... I've been trucking for over 38 years and well over 3 mil miles and I've heard this old saw at least twice a week for that long. How many times has it worked?? None!!!!

There are thousands of trucking companies out there, big and small, and millions of truckers. Anyone who has the organizational clout and personal influence to pull them all together already has a personal agenda and is already prostituting themselves to the politicians.

Get over it.
