Truckers' Trucking Forum/Message Board - The Premiere Truck Driver Forum

Truckers Strike Forum We all hear of a trucker strike. Let's put all the trucker strike threads in here, please so they will more organized. What do YOU think of a trucker strike due to outrageous fuel prices? The April 1st strike fizzled as expected. $5/gal. or more MAY make truckers stand together...if even then.

Gabon, Africa -- Possible strike looming at one of Shell's largest subsidiaries....this has already halted 60,000 barrels a day, if they strike at the same time we shut down, this would be priceless.

How cool would that be? Wow, the only problem would be they would take presidents over our movement. I'm not a conspiracy type person but, do you think this is their way of off setting the strike?

I think this may work in our favor. If they strike, and there is a higher demand for fuel - naturally there will be another increase in fuel. This is what we are fighting, and this just adds more fuel to the fire now. If we can't make it now with these prices, how can they expect us to make it with higher prices.

I agree. You know how the GOV is. They will make it out as if the oil strike is why we can't do our job. It just a thought. I don't think it will be anything but fuel to our fire.
