Truckers Strike Forum We all hear of a trucker strike. Let's put all the trucker strike threads in here, please so they will more organized. What do YOU think of a trucker strike due to outrageous fuel prices? The April 1st strike fizzled as expected. $5/gal. or more MAY make truckers stand together...if even then.

Cnn Cant Get It Right

What really is getting me is NONE of the news channels has the story straight. CNN said we are just threatning to shut down for one day, Nashville is saying we convoyed PA and ARE going to shut down for one day. What this tells me is we NEED a spokesperson to get our story straight and get it out in media. Guys we CAN pull this off if we unite and get as much done ASAP while we have the larger guys like PGT down with us. Some of the mods or Admin or SOMEONE needs to get a good story and get it to the media ASAP so it will make 5 o'clock news. If we get it in the media the the general public might get behinde us.

On some of the other forums i frequint they are saying stuff like I saw a bunch of trucks fueling as usual today and NO ONE knows what the real deal is.

Oh and how bout a sticky with updates, such as numbers down what we are hearing and so forth.
CNN JUST HAD A STORY ON ABOUT THE STRIKE THEY DIDNT EVEN INTERVIEW ANY DRIVERS AND THEY WERE SHOWING DRIVERS FUELING UP AND DRIVING OUT OF THE TRUCK STOP.I AGREE WITH YOU WE NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO THE NEWS SOMEONE THATS BEEN IN TRUCKING A LONG TIME.MABY WE NEED MORE CONVOY PROTESTS DRIVING AROUND THE TOWN HALLS IN EVERY STATE.

As I've said all along, this thing lacks the organization necessary to be effective. Even if there was a spokesperson, how could every single one of the estimated 3.4 million drivers let his/her voice be heard?

Something needs to happen, there's no doubt about that. The problem is the lack of organization. Get organized, THEN do the work stoppage.

Talked to a buddy of mine in Richfield, Ohio at the Pilot. The news crew just showed up, but there is plenty of traffic moving in and out of there. CO's and OO's fueling and running.

Ya, watch the video. The camera subjects one completely bald drive tire, and another balding one with trucks rolling in a blurry background. Way to go guys. Not smart on a safety level, especially with the news out there to ruin everything, but on the other hand shows how you can't replace tires if you can't make money.

I've not seen any less trucks driving by my house today either. Most of the truck traffic around here is local daycabs.
