Truckers' Trucking Forum/Message Board - The Premiere Truck Driver Forum

Truckers Strike Forum We all hear of a trucker strike. Let's put all the trucker strike threads in here, please so they will more organized. What do YOU think of a trucker strike due to outrageous fuel prices? The April 1st strike fizzled as expected. $5/gal. or more MAY make truckers stand together...if even then.

Peopel are saying they see normal truck traffic but what I have seen is normal local truck and big company truck traffic. I see very few independant trucks out here.
Back to my 50mph trip. Nobody shoot me please, already almost got run off the road!

I'm seeing normal truck traffic here as far as big company trucks ."Faux" news has started playing the "poor shippers/company drivers are scared of impending violence against them if THEY don't shut down" angle to the story now.How the hell they get away with calling themselves a news agency is beyond me.

I've been parked for a week. I just hope the true solution to the problem gets realized and resolved. I have been trying to get some hhg drivers that I know to participate as well. Has anyone else noticed the increase in bobtails and abandoned equipment?

Non truckers are not seeming to understand this very well.We turned a regular customer down yesterday to move a dozer for him today. He really wasn't to crazy about it but he agreed to reschedule(he needs to learn to call further in advance anyway). He said I was only costing us money because nobody else was going to shut down and since now I'm only working a day or two a week, he said he really couldn't understand it...Way to show support huh???This thing needed MUCH better PR work before it took off.

Yes I am rolling under a good paying produce load. I don't realy care how my fellow trucker is doing, they do not put food on my table. As a INDEPENDANT I will do what ever I have to do (legally and safely ) to be number 1. Business wise I will cut someones throat before they cut mine.

The days of one for all and all for one are over.
