Truckers Strike Forum We all hear of a trucker strike. Let's put all the trucker strike threads in here, please so they will more organized. What do YOU think of a trucker strike due to outrageous fuel prices? The April 1st strike fizzled as expected. $5/gal. or more MAY make truckers stand together...if even then.

very, very sad state of affairs... the question should not be can I afford to shut down but can I afford not to. It is only a matter of time before you are affected. There are many more who support the strike and have in fact shut down. Think about it, on average $4.00 fuel means .80cpm just to go down the road... that does not include truck payment, insurance, taxes, maintenance nor your wages...
WAKE UP!!!

I'm calling BS. Your location, years and trucking status have TROLL written all over it. Go stir the #### elsewhere, or man up.

Really? (take notes on spelling, you need it) So your hauling a CH Robinson load for $1.00 a mile. 15 picks and 12 drops because you HAD to get that load. Here's a news flash for you, Bob Barker, you didn't cut anybodies throat to get that load, NOBODY else was dumb enough to haul it. I know your going to tell me that your getting $10.00 a mile and you don't haul for CH and you wouldn't do all of those picks and drops. I won't, so that's how you got your good paying load of produce, YOU CAN'T LIE TO ME!

P.S. This is how INDEPENDENT is spelled. You don't even know what you are!

Bickering will get you no where.

Bob, if you are making good money, thats great, but you know that there are guys out there that have been in this business many years and are suffering. And THEY are the ones that will stand and get the job done to put the crooks out of business.

Let these guys have their day, they deserve it and you don't need to bring them down.
