Truckers' Trucking Forum/Message Board - The Premiere Truck Driver Forum

Truckers Strike Forum We all hear of a trucker strike. Let's put all the trucker strike threads in here, please so they will more organized. What do YOU think of a trucker strike due to outrageous fuel prices? The April 1st strike fizzled as expected. $5/gal. or more MAY make truckers stand together...if even then.

Truckers to protest fuel prices

Truckers to protest fuel prices

4/17/08
Quote:
PIERRE, S.D. (AP) The Pierre City Commission has approved the route for a convoy of truckers who are upset by high fuel prices.

An estimated 100-200 truck drivers will stage the demonstration on April 28.

Brian Frahm of Pierre is helping organize the convoy, which will pass the state Capitol.

He says the convoy will include semi tractors only, not trailers.

Frahm says it'll be an orderly event, and none of the trucks will enter the Capitol grounds.

The truckers will gather later at a local park for speeches.

Truckers Demonstrate for Cheaper Diesel

4/17/08
Albany, N.Y.

Quote:
Truckers all around New York State are leaving their rigs to rally together and protest the high cost of diesel fuel.
They're looking for support from lawamkers for relief from the high prices.
The rally will take place off the Thruway, in Fultonville, between Amsterdam and Canajoharie.
Supporters say without some emergency help, their business will continue to lose profits and the cost of the goods they deliver could go up for
consumers.
