Official Petition to U.S Congress to Allow Drilling Now for American Oil

Sorry I put this in two sections as I wasn't sure which fit best but..

I have created a petition to Congress to have them act immediately to authorize drilling for American oil. For lower gas prices, our overall economy, and national security. Here is the petition:

"We, the undersigned citizens of the United States, petition the U.S. Congress to act immediately, in the interest of our economy and national security, to reduce dependence on foreign nations by allowing American oil companies to Drill Now!"

To sign the petition go to [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. or find it on the homepage at [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. along with more information on drilling in America.

Email it to everyone you know

Baaken may be a secret because that's not the name.

Bakken, and it's no secret.

Thanks for clearing that up! Now if its no secret, why aren't we being told that this place has billions of barrels of recoverable sweet crude and we aren't seeing one drop?

The number of wells drilling the North Dakota Bakken jumped from 300 in 2006 to 457 in 2007.Those same sources show oil production in the North Dakota Bakken increasing 229%, from 2.2 million barrels in 2006 to 7.4 million barrels in 2007.

You have facts to support your opinion? Try as I might, I cannot find a single fact that says the US exports any crude.

Bakken is no secret. Neither are the shale oil fields in the Rockies. Nor is the Barnett Basin in Texas.

To clear things up I support drilling in Bakken (drilling more that is), and only using the more environment friendly forms of drilling (directional drilling and environment safe fluid.) I do not support exporting any oil. The petition is for drilling for American oil for the American people.
