Important Truckers Forum Notice!

Truckers Strike Forum We all hear of a trucker strike. Let's put all the trucker strike threads in here, please so they will more organized. What do YOU think of a trucker strike due to outrageous fuel prices? The April 1st strike fizzled as expected. $5/gal. or more MAY make truckers stand together...if even then.

Insulting a moderator here is a serious offense.

All we ask is that everyone respect each other and act like adults. He couldn't do that, so he was shown the door.
Then you need to ban Hilltop and many others for disrespecting each other.

I have been called "sliver spoon fed", "cocky" "know it all", etc. etc. etc. etc. and I don't see them banned... Please explain that.

Understand this please,

After all of your posts in a variety of different threads here I have come to the conclusion that you are not a businessman at all its my opinion and you can't change it (well maybe if you start posting like a smart businessman).

After all these PAGES of strikes, OOIDA, etc. etc. threads NOBODY can answer these 3 simple questions,

1. What is your solution?

2. Who is the leader/spokesperson?

3. How are we going to go about this strike?

We have told you what we thought the solutions were..But like always you just have to disagree and knock everyone about business plans and such..

You go your way and some of us will go ours..We have a mission in mind..

The think of it is your not supportive of our efforts and you expect us to think that the economy is all good and life is a bowl of cherries..

Sorry to bare bad new but life is not peachy my friend..And lot of us do not buy into your stories..

Good luck in what ever you do and we will do our best to come up with good solutions for the one's that support our cause....

And yes you do care about others business..LOL Nice play not does not fly

Ya reckon.

You see some of the people have been prancing that how succesful they are and they have critisze other including me without knowing me at all.

The other fella has slamed me in other threads saying that I do not have a business plan and asked me what mine is....Non of his business..We need to get back on topic and stop wasting time over this kind of stuff..That is what PM's are for

Here is a list of how we break the law

1. Lie on the log book even if it is a 15minute lie (I fall under this)

2. Speed (I also fall under this)

3. Occasionaly run overweight (again myself included)

4. (Okay this falls under FCC) have more power then allowed on CB's (again me)

5. Unsafe Equipment (not me)

6. Tinted window (me)

7. Jaking where the sign says "no engine breaks" (ALWAYS ME and for the record I think it is a stupid law)

etc. etc. etc.

Now the DOT occasionaly catches us on infractions but I am sure most of you break the rules more than they do catch you. I have never felt I was treated unfairly by a cop 99.9% of the time I deserved what I got.

IowaBMW, thanks for your answer. It is hard to determine when my brother is on a rant and when he is talking about something that is really on the up-and-up. The idea that the DOT is letting Canadian (and Mexican, by bro's telling) get away with overweight loads, unsafe brakes, logbook infractions...well it seems a wee bit far-fetched. But I have no way of telling since I do not drive a truck.
I appreciate you taking a moment to address my question. And I occasionally speed, too.

Oh I forgot to mention that the post wasn't meant 100% towards you, many on here have been ranting about "unfair treatment" by the DOT or Cops. BTW if anyone feels they were "unfairly treated" by the DOT/Cops feel free to go to the court on the ticket and let the Judge decide if you were unfairly treated or not.

I myself was involved in the ONE and ONLY accident in Chicago, IL were a car merged into the back axle of my spread axle flat bed trailer. the guy who hit me had to be 75 and had to be blind as a bat that he coudln't see something that was 70' in front of me when he hit my REAR axle of my SPREAD!! Cops came and cited me for the accident, long story short went to court judge threw it out without asking me ANYTHING.

EXCUSE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been slammed by you and others for being sucessful and you don't know me either!

About the business plans, I belive I asked you if you had one, not to see yours. I don't need to see anyone's business plans, just curious who has one or not. Also on the "business plan" section I belive myself and anyone out here who has one and follows it was told that we are pretty much stupid for having one.

you have not answered my 3 questions ANYWHERE on this forum, if so please quote it and post it. If you have then it will be easy to answer this

WHO IS THE SPOKESPERSON/LEADER?

WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?

WHAT IS THE PLAN?

And about staying on topic, this whole section of the forum is stupid and deemed to get off topic.

What is this the 20th strike now?

How can that be? How fair is that?
Like we don't have enough problems!! Now the Canadians want our jobs too!!!! SHEESH!

I have been pulled over at least three times and weighed since I started pulling buckets. Every single ime I have been overweight. This is not a hard thing to do in Ohio with their f-ed up weight laws. But, everytime I have taken the ticket and paid it, because (here it comes) I am responsible for my actions. Iowa, I am one who believes in what the DOT does, and believe you do too. They serve a purpose, and there are some ######## who do that job, but, there are ######## doing this job too.

That's some #### right there!!! Glad it worked out for you!
