Important Truckers Forum Notice!

Truckers Strike Forum We all hear of a trucker strike. Let's put all the trucker strike threads in here, please so they will more organized. What do YOU think of a trucker strike due to outrageous fuel prices? The April 1st strike fizzled as expected. $5/gal. or more MAY make truckers stand together...if even then.

Fear of trucking strike spurs LDS members to stock up

Fear of trucking strike spurs LDS members to stock up

MESA, Ariz. — Come what may, Donna and Aaron Bradshaw expect their spacious food pantry and emergency plan will carry them through.

Shelves and shelves of home-canned vegetables and meats, dried grains, an electric generator and stored water promises reasonable sustainability for the Mormon family in Gilbert in a world where food riots, starvation and disaster-related food shortages are becoming a kind of norm. There are threats of a United States trucking shutdown over high fuel costs that could lead to empty store shelves.

But the sharp spike in prices of staples such as bread, eggs, flour and milk at supermarkets has folks looking for options in food purchases and storage.

some poeple will believe everything they read, the Mormons have always been told to have a food storage .A truckers strike has nothing to do with anything besides we all know it will never happen not enough drivers have the balls to pull it off so quite worrying about it and either get out of the business or quite taking the cheap freight. I don't mean to sound harsh but thats the reality of it.

Is what they are doing really that dumb? Seems every time the poo hit the fan there are way too many folks caught with their pants down. I sure don't have three months worth of stuff at the house but I imagine we will be fine for a good spell. That is until my neighbors show up needing some stuff.

You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids.
