Truckers' Trucking Forum/Message Board - The Premiere Truck Driver Forum

Truckers Strike Forum We all hear of a trucker strike. Let's put all the trucker strike threads in here, please so they will more organized. What do YOU think of a trucker strike due to outrageous fuel prices? The April 1st strike fizzled as expected. $5/gal. or more MAY make truckers stand together...if even then.

Forbidden Exclamation Why the mess???

Who is running the trucking show? How many drivers does it take to get congressmen and women to understand we could cripple the entire nation in just 1 day!!!! How many does it take?? Evidently more than we have.. Capitol hill is so far up the hill they cant even see us.. Question.. who is in the limelight speaking for the ones making this country churn and turn?? Who is slamming their fist on the tables of those who can make a difference?? Who can, and will speak for those who deliver their coffee and doughnuts and corn flakes. Who run to east coast and grab a load of their favorite food and bring it back to the midwest.. Who deliver their black tuck and roll leather ulpholstered chairs, their million dollar golf clubs.. The first time they sit on a five gallon bucket and look at a empty bowl and play golf with a stick, they will wish they would have spoke up for the american trucker.. WHO IS SPEAKING ON OUR BEHALF?? WE NEED TO TURN IT UP!!!!

I am planning to, it's going to take lots of hard work and some much needed support, sick of talking about doing something and want to actually do something.

Its seems like us truckers don't stick together. Problem is... we will all go protest. Not everybody will show up and when we refuse to move our trucks for garbage someone will sneak behind us a do it for us. We are too greedy to do anything about it. I don't know maybe we just need a long haired skinny man wearing aviator glasses driving a 1977 Mack RS700L tanker to lead us?

It's not just trucking it's everything. Nobody in this country sticks together anymore. It's sad that it took a tragedy like 9/11 to once again unite this country. We saw neighbors help each other, strangers care for their fellow man, and just compassion in general for most everyone regardless of race, age, or differences. But look how quickly that faded away. It really is a shame nobody cares about anything but themselves anymore and they are too ignorant to realize that by helping others they would actually be helping themselves as well.

Exactly why should I "stand" with anyone if I am perfectly content with my situation?

Why do you not change your own situation if you are that miserable?

The answers are I shouldn't,and you apparently are incapable of it or you would not request my assistance. There can be no union.OOIDA and others like them do what they can, they can not protect you from ignorant decisions.

You turn the key on that truck. If you do not want to do it.......

DON'T.Do not expect me to punish myself for your decisions.
