stranded in Carlisle pa.

I just got an e-mail on a ban of several types of vehicles on the PA Pike - Class 9 , doubles , empty trailers , RV's , trailers pulled by private vehicles (cars , pickups , SUV's ) , and motorcycles .
That's a real advantage of us changing from Qualcomm to Blackberrys . We get road condition reports wherever we are . Dispatch can be home and get reports from drivers wherever they are then forward them to other drivers .
Just got another . State of emergency in MD . All vehicles re being escorted off the roads .

 

The news says they have stopped plowing in DC, as they felt it was unsafe to have the plows on the road!

 

We're hunkered down...........

 

That same warning came across the weather channel a few minutes ago, they also showed a pretty serious wreck out on the pike I think it was...

just said on the news that the 476, 76, 276, 676 are all shut down in and around Philadelphia,
95 is the only highway open to traffic for now... they may be closing that down shortly...

im sitting at home for this storm....
thick heavy wet snow is a back breaker!

 

according to the link a few posts above I-81 is closed from the MD line up to the I-80 split which is around the 151mm if I remember correctly...I'm sitting at the house watching it on the TV also !!
