This would be from Exit 151 to Exit 121, just north of 270 in Columbus. The count is anywhere between 40-100 vehicles wrecked. Right now at this moment we are at a Level 1 Snow Emergency. Snow emergencies are on a county by county basis.

FYI... Ohio Snow Emergencies and what they mean:

    Level 1 Snow Emergency:
Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads are also icy; drive carefully.

Level 2 Snow Emergency: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Only those who believe it is necessary to drive should be out on the roadways. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work.

Level 3 Snow Emergency: All roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel. No one else should be out during these conditions unless it is absolutely necessary to travel. All employees should contact their employers to see if they should report to work. Those traveling on the roadways may be subject to arrest.

I went through there yesterday about 2pm and the backup started right at exit 140(rt61). Jumped on 61 south and followed to rt3 south in Sunbury and avoided that mess. All the trucks that took rt61 went west on rt36 bringing them out to exit 131 on the interstate. I guess it was cleared up from 131 down to I270?? I didnt want to take a chance so I took rt3 down to 270. Heres a pic of the backup as seen from the rt61 bridge.

NAw, you did good going the way you did. The accidents were piled up on down to the 121. The OHP never completely shut down the interstate because they had more accidents on 36 and didn't have the manpower to shut down the roads. Crazy huh?

And... they are calling for another possible snow storm on Monday. ENOUGH!:biggrin_25510:
