I-81 Montgomery County Va Closing with Detours for 8 Days

Daytime Detour (6 a.m. - 10 p.m.):
One lane of northbound I81 will be open for tractor trailer traffic. All other traffic will be detoured onto Rt 11/460 at exit 118C in Christiansburg and return to I81 at Dixie Caverns.

Nighttime Detour (10 p.m. - 6 a.m.):
All northbound traffic will be detoured onto Rt 11/460 at exit 118C in Christiansburg and return to I81 at exit 132.

 

Reporting delays of at least 30 min this morning.

 

Accident on 81 north near mile marker 112 near Christiansburg, Va. No details, traffic is backed up. This is before the detour.
