US 129 No Longer Allowed From Deals Gap

TN DOT finally decided part of the "Tail Of The Dragons Route" too treacherous for Commercial Vehicles, those over 30' in length.

The NC side has had this in place for a while, but now TN is onboard with the same.

Not the entire route, but beginning at Deals Gap at the NC/TN border up until Tabcat Creek and the Tabcat Bridge.

I got a routing a couple of years back, wanting to run me through that stretch, to which I got back in contact with my dispatch and asked them if they were serious? When asked "Why" I responded I use to ride my Harley up and down that stretch and you have to be crazy to send a Big Rig on it.

After they did a map check, they agreed, not knowing it was already off limits.
