I am home and have the weather channel on.
They are talking about the latest winter storm hitting the south 2/25/15. They interviewed a Ga DOT person who said plans were in place to stop trucks outside Atlanta to prevent the gridlock they blame on us from last years storm. May want to push on through or lay up well ahead of Atlanta rather than get stuck with no place to park.
Ga DOT may hold big trucks outside of Atlanta for winter storm 2/25/15

Mayor of Atlanta is on now in a news conference. Listening live now.
Schools out 12 PM Parents secure your children
Wants all businesses to close by 14:00. Expect an early rush hour.
Snow to start 15:00. Expecting 4-6 inches.
Nothing about trucks. Wants roads as clear as possible by 16:00 so crews can work. -
LMAO
While the mayor is fielding questions talking about doom and gloom the weather channel is showing a weather map split screen predicting 0 snow fall overnight. -
They have snow removal crews in GA? Lol. Do yourself a favor shut down, I rather drive thru Wyoming in a snow storm then with a bunch of non snow driving locals trying to drive thru it. Trust me it's good they don't want trucks going thru there. 50% of the drivers down there including truck drivers hardly see snow or drive in it. They'll be slamming brakes all day long.

I don't know if it's true but l read an article on ajc saying that all trucks will be made to pull into weigh stations and be checked for snow and ice equipment. Remember they passed that law a couple years ago saying trucks have to have chains in Georgia or can be cited.

I live in Georgia, I don't carry chains because my theory is, If I have to put chains on, my truck has no business being on the road. Plus, I look at the weather forecast, if it's going to snow, I either go home or go south.
